Breakfast Seminar - The Benefits of and Converting to Employee Ownership

If you are like the vast majority of business owners in Pennsylvania who do not have a succession plan, or would like to hear about an extraordinary alternative, then you are invited to come and learn about Employee Ownership. Employee-owned businesses pay either zero tax, or greatly reduced taxes depending on the percentage of the business that is employee owned. It can give business owners a great way to get full value for the what has been created, ensure the business continues to serve its customers, and provides for the future of employees.

Please join us for a free breakfast seminar at the beautiful Montour Preserve (managed by the Montour Area Recreation Commission) featuring Kevin McPhillips from the non-profit Pennsylvania Center for Employee Ownership, who will outline these and other benefits of employee ownership, and summarize the steps that need to be taken to convert all or part of a business to employee ownership. There will also be speakers (TBA) from some very successful local employee-owned companies to talk about their experience.

This seminar is presented jointly by the Columbia Montour Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Bucknell University Small Business Development Center, and PA CareerLink Columbia/Montour Counties.
