OBJECTIVE

  • The Assistant Manager will work directly under the Retail Manager,  Provide Front of House staffing and exceptional customer service, primarily for the retail store and café sales channels at Wild For Salmon.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  1. RETAIL STORE & CAFÉ CUSTOMER SERVICE:


  • Opening and closing of retail store & café
  • Providing excellent customer service, throughout both channels, whether in person, over the phone, or via email
  • Implementing retail sales initiatives as directed by Manager(s) and Marketing dept.
  • Pricing product and restocking freezers & dry good shelves with a FIFO (first in first out) approach.  
  • Labeling bags and containers for production.
  • Assemble New customer envelopes for shipping.
  • Pull local Wholesale orders for pick up.
  • Cleaning and maintaining store/café work areas.
  • Accurately fill out temperature log paperwork and follow HACCP protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures and required certifications.  
  • Performing related duties in the store and café as assigned by Manager(s)
  • Driving freezer trucks for farmers markets as needed


  1. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with coworkers
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills (previous experience preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out tasks to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Servsafe handler certified (to be supplied by Wild For Salmon within first 90 days of employment)



Physical Requirements


  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to climb a ladder when needed to reach a product.
  • Must have a valid PA driver’s license, be able to pass a DOT physical and operate a 16 foot freezer truck.
  • Work in extreme temperatures (e.g., hot or cold) 
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards



Work Schedule: Full Time 30-40 hours a week.  Must be available to work weekends


Schedule may need to be altered based on the needs of the business.
